HA-WI’s state of the art, patented BAKRA® Bayonet clamping system

Our experience in the plastic mouldings industry led us to develop our own changeover tooling system, significantly reducing time delays in the changeover process. The BAKRA® Bayonet clamping system allows a complete changeover of the tool by a single person within 5 minutes. The secure nature of this system and ease of operation make the BAKRA® Bayonet clamping system an ideal application in the manufacturing process.


BAKRA® Application
Modern times are increasingly characterised by products with a short life span. This leads to a higher number of products being made while the shortage of skilled labour and increasing competition drive down operating times strengthening the demand for economic production methods. Assembly of the BAKRA® Bayonet clamping system
The tool mounting plate is fitted to the nozzle plate and ejector plate of the injection moulding machine. The tool mounting plate comprises a clamping device and a bayonet centring ring fitted to both sides of the tool, thereby ensuring the centring elements of the tool and machine are in alignment. A wedge-shaped surface is designed to achieve effective clamping of the bayonet clamping system as soon as the clamping device is adjusted using a hand lever.
