Our Products and Services

At HA-WI, we build on our customer relationships from start to finish.

  • Superior products, quality of design and development, technical support, quality assurance and logistics, distinguish our services.

    Custom Colour Compounding

Complementing our in-house facilities is a one-stop shop for Custom Colour Compounding. Our laboratory can produce over 8000 different varieties of colour to suit your needs. To develop the right colour for you, we offer extensive services for custom manufacturing of pre-coloured resin using coloured granules, blends and liquid colours. This enables us to accurately reproduce around 1300 standard colours strictly determined by colour guides such as RAL, NCS, BSC and Pantone. Our customers can calibrate their own colours and grades from samples provided by us or supplied to us and be assured of colour consistency every time.

    CAD-Facility

Using the latest 3D-CAD technology to plan and design tools and products, HA-WI strives to meet the highest standards of industry. We maintain at least two workstations equipped with SolidWorks to create thoroughly modern designs. Our team will not only develop a brief but will work closely with our customers to achieve a specification that exceeds expectations.

    Measurement Laboratory

Quality assurance is an important part of HA-WI’s day-to-day business, and we have installed a new Measurement Laboratory to enhance discharge processes which follow tooling changes and initial production runs. Our Measurement Laboratory monitors product control to ensure that quality requirements are met before and during production. This is how quality-checks and measurements on calliper gauges are carried out, for example.

    Logistics

To complete our orders, we work with 32 different suppliers and carriers to meet supply and delivery demands. With a service that includes next-day delivery via stock consignment stores and the procurement of goods as necessary, HA-WI offers customers a full inventory management service. As well as guaranteeing delivery, HA-WI is also able to offer packing services, where articles may be wrapped or packed loosely. For quick and easy processing on delivery, we are also able to offer packing services tailored to customer specifications. This is achieved by using an automatic placement machine or by hand. We also offer a comprehensive labelling service for packages to be marketed directly or to meet a customer’s own internal inventory requirements.

    Industrial Finishing
From production to packing, HA-WI also offers industrial finishing in addition to our standard services. Articles can be bonded or welded and punched as requested, and we are able to offer both large-scale and small-scale assembly of products to complement the finishing process. HA-WI uses long-established relationships with external suppliers to offer surface finishing from deburring, de-slagging, graining, brushing, cleaning and polishing. A variety of printing processes are also available.

    Other services

Industrial designs and quality assurance are just a part of the service we offer at HA-WI. We also have a dedicated team of specialists who provide a comprehensive product analysis and can advise customers during the development stages of products and tooling projects. Customers can make use of additional experts in the creation of Mould-Flow Analysis and Rapid Prototyping. Mould-Flow Analysis is used to predict whether an injection-moulded part will fill based on the part geometry, plastic injection location, choice of material and the processing conditions (melt temperature, mould temperature and injection time). Rapid Prototyping is used to make a sample on which quality checks can then be performed. These checks are designed to optimise the part and to prevent problems including high fill pressure, high gate shear, short shots, weld lines, gas traps, inefficient cooling, long cycle times and part distortion. The resultant 3D CAD models are then used to create parts using stereolithography or vacuum forming for the customer.
